Katharine McPhee, also known as Katharine McPhee Foster, is an American musician, singer and actress who has a net worth exceeding $14 million. McPhee became an international star after her appearance on "American Idol" in the year 2006. Following her second-place finish on the show, Katharine has released five studio albums (including an album for Christmas) in 2007; and her debut album reached #2 on the "Billboard" 200 chart.McPhee has also had an acting career that has been successful and has appeared as Karen Cartwright on NBC's "Smash" (2012-2013) and Paige Dineen on CBS "Scorpion" (2014-2018). Her father, Daniel (who passed away in the year 2018) was a TV producer and her mother, Peisha is a vocal coach. Peisha began her work on "American Idol" in the year 2011. Katharine's older sister, Adriana, is also an instructor in the reality show. McPhee was musically trained by her mother, and was a star in theater performances at Notre Dame High School.
