Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musically inclined family. Her early years were shaped by Boleros, classical music and the more traditional romantic, ranchero, and romance ballads. Ana is a lover of the operas and tangos and the dramatic shows that she attends. Ana began learning to play and sing from an early age, along together with her mom. She received more formal singing instruction at the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. She performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a student and professional. In 2000, she relocated back to in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she returned to her new home in Southern California. She performs solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is passionate about singing, music as well as the arts keeps her engaged in local projects both as an artist and instructor. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher in the Performance Loft. Ana appreciates the opportunity to share her passion and love for traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to instill a sense of particularly among the younger generation in order to keep the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
